The FIN224 series is designed for applications such as POS terminals, GPS navigation devices, metering, displays, portable medical applications,
bar code scanners and set top boxes. These devices offer EMI and wire reduction for small and medium size displays. This signal reduction and
lower EMI susceptibility is important as small displays increase in resolution and color, they also require more signals at higher speeds. These
additional and fast signals can create multiple challenges in terms of board, cable and connector density, as well as increased EMI, which the FIN224
series solves.
These new µSerDes devices offer the important benefits of reducing size and bill of material (BOM) costs. Since these devices reduce the
number of wires, there is a significant savings in board space, connector and cable density.
By reducing EMI, there is no need for EMI filters or suppression devices, eliminating the need for additional components.
