Fairchild FXL Series 1-8 Bit Dual Supply Translators

FXL series are Fairchild’s newest family of dual-supply translators and are designed to translate up or down, for logic in the range of 1.0V to 3.3V. Utilizing space and power conserving technologies, these are ideal for use in ultra portables such as cell phones and digital cameras.

  • Outputs remain in 3-state until active VCC level is reached. Switch to 3-state if either VCC is at Gnd

FXLP34

The FXLP34 is a single translator with two separate supply voltages: VCC1 for input translation voltages and VCC for output translation voltages. The FXLP34 is part of Fairchild's Ultra Low Power (ULP) series of products. This device operates with VCC values from 1.0V to 3.6V, and is intended for use in portable applications that require ultra low power consumption.

The internal circuit is composed of a minimum of buffer stages, to enable ultra low dynamic power.

The FXLP34 is uniquely designed for optimized power and speed, and is fabricated with an advanced CMOS technology to achieve high speed operation while maintaining low CMOS power dissipation.

FXLH42245

The FXLH42245 is a configurable dual voltage supply translator designed for bi-directional voltage translation of signals between two voltage levels. The device allows translation between voltages as high as 3.6V to as low as 1.1V. The A Port tracks the VCCA level, and the B Port tracks the VCCB level. Both ports are designed to accept supply voltage levels from 1.1V to 3.6V. This allows for bi-directional voltage translation over a variety of voltage levels: 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V.

The device remains in 3-State until both VCCs reach active levels allowing either VCC to be powered up first. The device also contains power down control circuits that place the device in 3-State if either VCC is removed.

The Transmit/Receive (T/R#) input determines the direction of data flow through the device. The OE# input, when HIGH, disables both the A and B Ports by placing them in a 3-State condition. The FXLH42245 is designed so that the control pins (T/R# and OE#) are supplied by VCCA.

FXL5T244

The FXL5T244 is a configurable dual voltage supply translator designed for one way (uni-directional) voltage translation of signals between two voltage levels. The device allows translation between voltages as high as 3.6V to as low as 1.1V. A Inputs and the OE# Control Pin track the VCCI level, and Y Outputs track the VCCO level. Both inputs and outputs are designed to accept supply voltage levels from 1.1V to 3.6V. This allows for uni-directional voltage translation over a variety of voltage levels: 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V.

The device remains in 3-State until both VCCs reach active levels allowing either VCC to be powered up first. The device also contains power down control circuits that place the device in 3-State if either VCC is removed. The OE# input, when HIGH, disables the outputs by placing them in 3-State condition.
