IDT has expanded its PRECISE family of high performance,
low power, small footprint PCI Express
switches to the market.
Targeting server and storage applications and providing
high performance I/O connectivity expansion,
the IDT PRECISE family of PCI Express solutions
enables feature rich, cost effective system
design.
The company’s initial offering were two devices
designed to reduce the cost per Gigabyte of
switching bandwidth. IDT has been offering a pair
of 3 port PCI Express switches in 12 lane and 24
lane configurations. The IDT PCI Express switches
provide I/O expansion to fill the gap created by
north bridge devices with limited high performance
I/O connectivity. IDT has now introduced a larger
portfolio of I/O fanout switches, which support up
to 12 ports and up to 48 lanes to support varying
system configurations, and provide our customers
with an optimized price/performance for their
systems.
IDT offers a complete family of PCI Express
switches to meet a variety of applications in the
server, storage and communications markets.
By providing a complete family of switches with
varying lane and port counts, system engineers
can optimize their system performance and cost.
