Fairchild Semiconductor’s Half-Bridge Gate Drivers Allow Designers to Optimize Board Space and System Performance in Their Designs

The new FAN7383, FAN7384 and FAN73832 offer system reliability, stable performance and power savings. These HVICs feature an innovative common mode noise canceling technique that provides excellent noise immunity and they have the industry’s lowest quiescent currents, which results in extremely low power consumption. These HVICs also offer the lowest temperature dependency, which means that they have full functionality at cold, hot or ambient temperatures. Compared to other pulse transformer-based solutions, the FAN7383, FAN7384 and FAN73832 save 50% PCB board space. With all of these industry-leading benefits, these HVICs are the optimal solution for driving MOSFETs and IGBTs in a wide range of industrial and consumer applications up to 600V.

Related Note: Fairchild also supports isolated gate driver solutions. Fairchild recently introduced its first in a family of high frequency, optically isolated MOSFET gate drivers. The FOD3180 and the FOD3181 are ideal for increasing system efficiency, reliability and simplifying design in 30A/1200V industrial applications.
