Poke-In Wire Connectors Streamline LED Lighting Production

Tyco Electronics has introduced wire Poke-In connectors for LED lighting applications, eliminating hand soldering of wires for higher productivity when assembling multi-element lighting fixtures. The two terminal SMT connectors accept a wide range of wire types and sizes including solid and stranded wires.

The low profile, surface mount connectors are easily placed directly on the board and feature two solder pads per terminal for robust mechanical assembly. The high temperature resistant plastic bodies incorporate rounded edges to minimize shadowing, allowing the assembly to deliver maximum optical performance. The connectors are robust and secure in operation and achieve minimum 5lbs. retention force on accepted wire sizes.
