SST® All-in-OneMemory offers an easy-to-use, single-package memory subsystem with the full benefits of NOR, NAND and RAM in a unified architecture to address the cost and time-to-market needs of system designers developing mobile and embedded products. Functionally, All-in-OneMemory is the combination of a high-density NOR, a system RAM and a solid-state drive. It uses the standard PSRAM/Burst-NOR bus to interface with the host processor/chipset, which makes the system design easier and helps speed time-to-market. All-in-OneMemory is designed for a wide range of embedded system applications, including medical instruments, industrial systems, multimedia-enabled cell phones, portable media players, digital still/video cameras, personal navigation devices, set-top boxes, IPTVs and gaming devices.

The first product in the All-in-OneMemory product family, the SST88VP1107, comes configured with 512KBytes of instant-on boot NOR, 128MBytes of execute-in-place (XIP) code storage, 120MBytes of data storage and 12MBytes of system RAM. The device helps designers reduce system complexity and lower overall system cost by offering a large and expandable XIP code area, instant secure boot, memory demand-paging, NAND flash management and an industry standard ATA data storage protocol on the standard PSRAM/Burst-NOR bus. The SST88VP1107 is the only single-bus, single-package solution that offers a completely managed memory subsystem in a 10mm x 13mm x 1.4mm LBGA package. By managing the system’s key memory components in a single package, the SST88VP1107 simplifies the host interface, shortens design time, reduces overall system costs and improves quality and reliability.
