ARM7 MCU with Ethernet, USB OTG, CAN and Optional LCD Controller
ARM7 MCUs, with integrated LCD controller,
are built on a dual AHB bus architecture for
simultaneous operation of multiple high
bandwidth peripherals.
Loaded with Features
The LPC24xx microcontroller (MCU) series from
NXP Semiconductors uses a high performance
32-bit ARM7 core that operates at up to 72MHz.
These devices feature two ARM high speed
buses (AHB) for the concurrent operation of
multiple peripherals including Ethernet, USB FS
and CAN. The LPC24xx also adds a USB Host/OTG,
an external bus and higher I/O count, making this
the most powerful series of ARM7-based MCUs in
the marketplace.
The company's newest LPC247x MCUs integrate
an LCD controller supporting high resolution
Super-Twisted Nematic (STN) and Thin-Film
Transistor (TFT) panels with up to 24-bit
true color.
The LPC2468 MCU has 512kB of on-chip
high speed Flash memory, making it ideal for
multi-purpose communication applications.
The LPC2478 MCU is the industry's only ARM7
Flash-based MCU offering integrated LCD support
as well as a Flashless version, the LPC2470. The
LPC2478 and LPC2470 MCUs can support most
static LCD displays up to 1024 x 768 pixels,
15 gray-scale monochromes and up to 24-bits
per pixel true color TFT panels. For embedded
system designers, the LCD implementation
allows code execution on-chip and minimizes bus
contention with frame data retrieval from external
memory. In addition, these MCUs provide 512kB,
fast 128-bit wide embedded Flash with built-in error
correction for maximum reliability. The LPC247x
devices are ideal for point-of-sale, industrial and
medical/diagnostic applications. The LCD controller
supports Windows CE data formats.

- 160 general purpose fast I/O pins
