Panasonic Electric Works Introduces a New Line of PhotoMOS Relays.

The new SON* PhotoMOS series offers more than a 50% size reduction compared to SSOP. Reduced package size is ideal for high density mounting with a footprint that is significantly less than existing solutions.

Gold plated leads and side solder fillets are used to ensure a strong solder joint. Ceramic construction provides an extended shelf life according to moisture sensitivity level (MSL) rating. MSL indicates the maximum time period for assembling SMD components after removal from moisture sealed bags. SON corresponds to MSL 2 providing a 1 year shelf life.

 

Advantages of Miniaturization

Leadless construction reduces mounting area and optimizes board space usage. Benefits include increasing the number of pins and equipment miniaturization. Reduced wiring area on the board enhances product performance and high frequency characteristics.

Panasonic Electric Works Offers Over 300 Types of PhotoMOS Relays

Features include low on-resistance, fast switching speed, low capacitance and small package size. Package sizes consist of SON, SSOP, SOP, DIP, SIL and PD with options for TH and SMD.

PhotoMOS relays are designed for many applications such as ATE, instrumentation, medical, security, communications, automotive, industrial and more.

 

RoHS Compliance

All Panasonic Electric Works products are available with cadmium-free contacts and lead-free solder to meet RoHS requirements.
